The Auburn local government area encompasses Homebush Bay –the focal point of the Sydney Olympics. Here lies Stadium Australia – the largest in Australia with seating for 80,000 people and the national base for Rugby League, Rugby Union and Football. Alongside this is the Acer Arena – seating 20,000 people and home to basketball and the Sydney music scene – and the Sydney International Aquatic Centre.
